GAINESVILLE, Fla; April 10, 2018…Celebration Pointe, north central Florida’s premier mixed-use development located prominently and conveniently along Interstate 75 in Gainesville, today held a ribbon cutting for a beautiful sculpture honoring the exceptional work of all women in our community. Working in partnership with the Women’s Giving Circle, the sculpture has been designed in appreciation of those who strengthen our community by empowering girls and women to realize their dreams.
“It’s a fitting tribute for such an amazing organization that directs philanthropy specifically to the needs of girls and women,” said Sean McIntosh, Senior Vice President of Asset Management, Celebration Pointe. “This will be a permanent reminder to Celebration Pointe guests about how this great organization helps bolster girls and women in the region. This recognition of the Women’s Giving Circle dovetails with our broader philosophy that Celebration Pointe is a leader in the community and reflects the spirit of supporting good causes in the Gainesville area.”
The metal multi-panel sculpture, by artist Lynn Brenner-Katz, is titled “Lead, Learn, Give” and depicts girls and women in positions of strength in society. This includes an education panel with a woman victoriously graduating from school, another panel with a woman in a professional work setting and a third panel with a mother caring for her two children, including a baby.
The ceremony was held on The Promenade at Celebration Pointe. Kilwins, which has a store opening on The Promenade in the coming weeks, provided chocolate and Celebration Pointe served champagne.
Celebration Pointe is owned and sponsored by Gainesville-based Celebration Pointe Holdings, LLC (CPH). The exclusive development manager is a collaborative effort between development partners Atlanta-based RaCo Real Estate LLC and Gainesville-based Viking Companies.
