Jazz on the Green Series Kicks Off Celebration Pointe Events in Gainesville

Live music in Gainesville finds a new home on the City Walk stage at Celebration Pointe! On Saturday, June 9, 2018, Celebration Pointe hosted its inaugural Jazz on the Green event. Over 200 attendees gathered around the stage in the promenade to enjoy live music, food, drinks, and lawn games. The event featured classic jazz and bossa nova by the Natalie Rella Quartet and drinks from World of Beer. This event was the first of the series that Celebrates live music in Gainesville. Celebration Pointe is solidifying its place as a top choice venue for events in Gainesville that will bring family and friends together.

This is the seventh event for the mixed-use development off of Exit 384 and I-75 after the success of the Tommy Hilfiger and Nike Factory Store grand openings and the March of Dimes Walk for Babies — and it certainly isn’t the last! Celebration Pointe is quickly becoming the go-to place for all events in Gainesville. Jazz on the Green events are held on the second Saturday of every month from 7-9 PM at City Walk. On June 30, 2018 from 11 AM to 3 PM Celebration Pointe partnered with 352Arts in bringing 6 local muralists together to paint live — creating murals inspired by the theme of celebration at the inaugural Paint It Live: Celebrating Local Art event. The event featured food and drink available for purchase from Cilantro Tacos, First Magnitude Brewing Company, Soup to Nuts Food Truck, Rastafar Ice and more. A bonus for attendees was the chance at a sneak peek of the brand new MidiCi The Neapolitan Pizza Company restaurant. The newest restaurant in Celebration Pointe hosted free activities for kids indoors, as well as showcased a group of UF students who are working on a mural inside the restaurant during the event.

This fall, Celebration Pointe will also become the new home to Gator Talk, the University of Florida Athletics’ radio show featuring head and position coaches from football and basketball. The events will bring the Gator Nation to the Celebration Pointe City Walk stage each week before a home game. The coaches will rally fans by discussing recent game performance, behind-the-scenes information, and upcoming games and opponents.Celebration Pointe - City Walk
