It’s here. The moment we’ve been waiting nine months for– the start of Gators Football. The anticipation, the excitement, the hope– it’s all about to pay off as the Orange and Blue take the field for another season of America’s favorite sport. As the official place where Gators come to celebrate, and in a partnership with the University of Florida Athletic Program, Celebration Pointe is hosting Gators-centric events to highlight the Florida Gators football program and upcoming basketball season. Join us for appearances by UF celebrities and coaches, selfies with Albert and Alberta, entertainment and more Thursdays through Saturdays this fall!
We are kicking off the upcoming season on August 23 with Gator Talk, the University of Florida’s weekly hour-long coaches’ show covering the latest in Gators Football. The show will broadcast live on the City Walk stage every Thursday from 7-8pm across 38 radio affiliates statewide and will feature UF coaches discussing both recent games and upcoming opponents. Fans will have the chance to ask questions to the coaches, including Florida Gators Head Coach Dan Mullen who will appear in 10 of the 12 Gator Talk shows this season. You can also submit questions online or use #GatorTalk on Twitter.
Think celebrating is just for game days? Well, think again. We’re hosting the ideal kickoff to Florida Gators football weekends every home game this year with our Chomp The Block party. Every Friday before a home game from 6:00-10:00 pm enjoy live music, restaurants and food trucks, lawn games, special appearances by UF celebrities, and an adult scavenger hunt where attendees can win a unique Celebration Pointe/Florida Gators pint glass. Kids are welcome to attend the early hours of Chomp the Block for exclusive family activities hosted by Fun4GatorKids from 6:00-8:00 pm.
Before you chomp in the Swamp on Saturdays, head to Celebration Pointe to pick up jerseys and athletic-wear at the Nike Factory Store. Don’t have tickets to the game? No worries, Miller’s Alehouse and MidiCi The Neapolitan Pizza Company are the perfect spots to grab some food and watch the team on the big screen. But if you do have tickets, don’t sweat about parking. Celebration Pointe is a park and ride location for Gator Aider, the Florida Gators Football Shuttle available during the Fall Semester. RTS Gator Aider service drives you and your friends right to the stadium for football games. Gator Aider rides begin three hours before each home game. The last bus will depart ten minutes before game time, to get you to the stadium in time for kickoff. Return trips start at the beginning of the 4th quarter (though who would want to miss a second of Florida Gators football) and run through the first hour after the game.
Our blood runs Orange and Blue at Celebration Pointe, where Gators come to celebrate, so we hope you’ll join us in cheering on the Florida Gators Thursdays through Saturdays this fall. There will be plenty of entertainment, food, drinks and photo-ops galore. Chomp on and go Gators!
